Driver age
The minumum age of the driver is 21 years old.
For those drivers between 21 and 22 years old, a "Young Driver" extra charge equal to €10.00 a day will be applied, up to a maximum of €150.00 per rental.
The following vehicles require a specific minimum age:
• D***, CF**, CT**, IF**, J***, SD**, SF**, X***, L***, P*** groups (example: Audi A3 Cabrio, BMW 1 Series, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Seat Arona, Volkswagen T-Cross, Mini Cooper Cabrio, Citroen C3 Aircross, Nissan Qashqai, BMW 2 Series, Jeep Wrangler, Range Rover Sport, Jeep Renegade, Volvo S60, Mini Countryman, BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Renault Trafic, Citroen SpaceTourer, Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar): minimum age of 23 years.
The maximum age of the driver is 78 years old.
For those drivers between 74 and 78 years old, a "Senior Driver" extra charge equal to €12.00 a day will be applied, with a maximum charge of €180.00 per rental.
The "Young driver" and "Senior driver" fee are not included in the rental price and must be paid in local currency at the rental office.
Driving licence
All drivers must show their original driving licence, issued at least 24 months previously and expiring after the rental period.
If the national driving licence is not written in Latin characters (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) or has been issued in a non-EU country that does not have international agreements with the country where the rental takes place, a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) is mandatory. The driver must present the IDP together with the original national driving licence.
IMPORTANT: It is the renter's responsibility to ensure they possess the necessary documents to drive in countries other than their country of residence.
The driving licence must be original, intact, legible and valid.
Digital driving licences will NOT be accepted.
ID card/Passport
A valid ID card for all the citizens of the countries of the European Union, will be required.
For all those citizens of a country NOT belonging to the European Union, besides an ID card, a currently valid passport will be required as well.
The documents must be the original ones, not deteriorated, legible and valid.
Digital documents will NOT be accepted.
Inclusive insurances
[TPL] Third-party liability insurance
This insurance covers the damages to third parties following an accident caused by the driver, excluding the rented car itself.
[CDW] Collision Damage Waiver
This is a reduction of the customer's liability that partially covers the damage caused to the rented vehicle. Instead of the total cost, the driver will be responsible only for the first fraction, called deductible.
The reduction of the customer's liability will be applied up to a maximum chargeable amount specified in the rental agreement.
This reduction does not include damage to: glass, roof, underbody, wheels, interior and damage caused by acts of vandalism.
[TP] Theft/Fire Protection
This is a reduction of the customer's liability in the event of total/partial theft or fire up to a maximum chargeable amount specified in the rental agreement.
In the event of theft of the rented vehicle, if the vehicle keys are not returned, the customer will be fully liable for reimbursement of the total value of the vehicle.
This reduction does not include the loss of personal assets.
Road assistance
Road assistance is guaranteed 24/7.
In case road assistance is needed, the cost related to this will be charged to the customer himself.
Taxes included in the price
Value Added Tax (VAT).
Airport/Railway Station Taxes.
Fuel policy
[Full-Full]
The vehicle will be given with a full tank of fuel and it must be returned with a full tank of fuel.
In case the customer does not return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, the missing part of the fuel will be charged, as well as a surcharge relating the refuelling operations.
Mileage
The rate includes unlimited mileage.
Territorial limits
It is not permitted to drive the vehicle outside the national territory.
Ferry transport of the rental vehicle is allowed only upon request and approval from the rental company "Carwiz", and only for routes within the national territory. If approved, an additional fee of €40.00 will apply.
If you intend to board the vehicle on a ferry, it is mandatory to inform the "Carwiz" desk staff before collecting the vehicle.
Payment methods
At the time of vehicle collection, it will be necessary to present a credit card in the name of the main driver for the handling of the deposit and the rental payment.
[ATTENTION] The main driver must present the credit card in physical form; the digital version of the card will NOT be accepted.
[CREDIT cards]
Credit cards accepted at the car rental desk: Visa, Mastercard.
American Express credit card is accepted exclusively at rental locations in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania, Rhodes and Mykonos.
The credit card must have embossed numbers and details; a PIN code will also be required.
The following payment methods WILL NOT be accepted: Diners Club credit cards; Revolving cards; debit cards (ex. Mastercard Debit, Maestro, Visa Debit, V-Pay); Bancomat cards (ex. PagoBancomat); Prepaid/rechargeable and "Electron" cards of any type (ex. Viabuy, PayPal, Green Dot, Postepay); cards linked to a digital bank account (e.g. N26, Revolut); cards with the indication "Electronic use only"; virtual credit/debit cards; credit/debit cards in digital format; cards saved on mobile devices (smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, etc.); Visa Dankort, Discover, Cirrus, JCB, China UnionPay cards; NON-NOMINATIVE cards; cards NOT in the name of the main driver; cash and/or checks.
For security reasons, all the information on the credit card must be clearly legible and not damaged, in order to allow the rental company to verify its authenticity
Always ensure that the credit card used has sufficient funds available at the time of rental. The amount blocked corresponds to a fixed sum (specified below), but it may vary depending on the size of the vehicle, the driver's age, the rental duration, and the vehicle pick-up location.
If a valid credit card is not physically presented, or if the card does not have sufficient funds, the counter agent may refuse to hand over the vehicle. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
Deposit amount
When collecting the vehicle, a deposit will be required as a guarantee.
This amount can only be managed through a credit card in the name of the main driver.
[ATTENTION] The main driver must present the credit card in physical form; the digital version of the card will NOT be accepted.
A value of €500.01 plus eventual extras or services purchased and not prepaid online will be blocked from the card.
This amount will be unblocked at the end of the car rental, where all the conditions are met.
In the event of damage or theft of the vehicle, the applicable excess will be up to € 1000 for damage and up to € 1000 for theft.
Local taxes
The damages to the car will be charged by the car rental company at the moment of the drop off, as well as a local tax, which has to be added to the amount of the deductible withheld.
In case of tickets/fines, the driver will have to pay a local tax, which has to be added to the amount of the ticket/fine.
Pick-up
The vehicle must be picked up at the time agreed during the booking process; after that time, the car rental company will not guarantee the availability of the car at the car rental station and the reservation will be considered cancelled without notice.
Please always inform the car rental station in case of delay.
Drop-off
The rented vehicle must be returned by the date and time specified in the rental agreement. A grace period of 59 minutes beyond the agreed return time is allowed. If this grace period is exceeded, an additional charge will be applied by the car rental company.
No refund is provided in case the car is returned before the date agreed in the car rental contract.
In case the drop-off is made in a different car rental station from the pick up, a "One way" extra charge will be applied. This operation must be authorised beforehand by "Carwiz".
The vehicles are delivered externally and internally clean and they must be returned in the same condition. Otherwise the costs related to the washing of the vehicle will be proportionally charged.
For rentals with vehicle return outside opening hours, this service is available exclusively at rental locations equipped with a key-box. The customer must inquire at the time of pickup about the service's usage conditions. The rental agreement will be closed by a company representative upon the reopening of the branch, and the customer remains responsible for the vehicle until it has been officially taken over by the representative.
Vehicle group
The vehicle in the image and the models on the list are the most commonly used by our car rental partners.
We cannot guarantee that brand and model of the vehicle will be the same of the vehicle viewed on our website.
Voucher
At the arrival at the car rental office, you will be asked to show the voucher.
Attention: TinoRent takes no responsability for any surcharges in the case, at the moment of the pick up, the voucher is not shown to the car rental agent. In these cases no refund of the advance payment will be provided.
Additional accessories and Extras
Additional accessories and extras must be requested at the time of booking or communicated to the rental centre. These are not included in the rental price and must be paid for at the time of collection.
The prices for these accessories are managed directly by the rental company, which reserves the right to modify them without prior notice.
Additional accessories and any special equipment are subject to availability, which can only be guaranteed by the rental centre at the time of collection.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation of the reservation if you cancel within 09:30 of the 27/10/2025. Free cancellation allows the refund of the amount paid during the online booking process, on the same card used.
An administrative penalty of 23.2 EUR will be applied where the cancellation is carried out after 09:30 of 27/10/2025 and in any case within 09:30 of the 29/10/2025. Any surplus will be refunded directly into the card used during the online booking process.
A penalty called 'No Show / Lost Rental Charge' equal to the entire rental cost (38.66 EUR) will be applied where cancellation is made after 09:30 of 29/10/2025 or, in any case, where the vehicle is not picked up at the agreed date and time or where the vehicle was not delivered because the rental conditions stated in the terms and conditions are not met.
Out-of-Hours Surcharge
The vehicle pick-up or drop-off service outside of office opening hours is only available upon prior approval by the rental company.
If the service is confirmed, an additional surcharge of €50.00 will apply.
In case of delay, please contact the "Carwiz" rental office promptly so that staff can, if possible, make arrangements to wait for your arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation of the reservation if you cancel within 09:30 of the 27/10/2025. Free cancellation allows the refund of the amount paid during the online booking process, on the same card used.
