During festive departures, Advent stalls, sparkling lights, and the scent of cinnamon will add a touch of magic – creating wonderful moments to share as a couple, with family, or with friends.
Day 1: Slovenia – Rožmberk – Český Krumlov
A castle above the Vltava and the charm of a medieval town
We will depart in the morning by comfortable touring coach, travelling towards Austria and continuing past Linz to the Czech border.
After crossing the border, we will stop at Rožmberk Castle, rising above the Vltava River. A visit to the castle may be possible, depending on its opening hours.
Nearby, Český Krumlov awaits. We will discover its landmarks, including the medieval square, Český Krumlov Castle, and the castle tower.
After sightseeing, there will be some free time for refreshments and independent exploration. During the festive season, we can enjoy the aromas of cinnamon, sweet treats, and mulled wine, along with the tempting offerings at the Christmas market stalls.
At the agreed time, we will travel to the hotel. Check-in and overnight stay.
Day 2: Prague
Charles Bridge, the famous Astronomical Clock, and lively city squares
Today will be devoted to Prague, its magnificent history, and its rich cultural traditions. After breakfast, we will travel to the Czech capital and stroll across the famous Charles Bridge, encountering a variety of street artists along the way.
We will continue past the Powder Tower, the Estates Theatre, and Charles University to Wenceslas Square. Overlooking the square is the National Museum, with the impressive statue of St Wenceslas, the Czech duke and patron saint of the country, standing in front.
Our curiosity will then lead us along Celetná Street to the Old Town Square. Here, we will admire St Nicholas Church, the Church of Our Lady before Týn, the House at the Stone Bell, and the famous Astronomical Clock.
Between sightseeing stops, there will be plenty of time for a coffee, a glass of beer, and a relaxed taste of city life, as well as Advent festivities during the Christmas season.
