Drugi po važnosti grad u općini Velez Malaga po broju stanovnika i velikom turističkom izlogu, čija slava prelazi granice Andaluzije. Torre del Mar karakterizira kvaliteta okoliša i prostranost njegovih prekrasnih plaža, kao i njegova šetnica, mjesto susreta mnogih posjetitelja, kao i susjeda. Smješten u geografskom centru obalne linije općine Vélez Málaga, između Almayatea i Caleta de Véleza, njegov urbani otisak se proteže od Río Seco do plaža Poniente. Nalazi se četiri kilometra od glavnog grada općine, Vélez Málaga, komunicirajući oba enklava duž Avenije Juan Carlos I.
