This trip allows you to discover the youngest town in Slovenia, Velenje, known for its large mine. We will touch the mysterious world of minerals with an exhibition of more than 4,000 different stones. Among the exhibits is a unique piece, found in the mine
Velenje coal mine in 2008. After a panoramic tour through the town we will visit the Velenje Lake.The observation deck offers an exceptional view of the entire lake, surrounding villages and mountains.
The next stop is the Logar Valley. The winding road winds through narrow gorges and small towns such as Luče and Solčava, to suddenly open up to a breathtaking panorama. Slovenia's most beautiful valley, the Logar Valley. Time to take some wonderful shots of the surrounding mountains and valley before arriving at a farm. Here you can taste the specialties of these places with a tasting of sausages, dairy products and bread all made in an artisanal way. Following the opportunity to discover the beautiful waterfall Rinka reached by a walk. It is the largest free-falling waterfall in Slovenia, majestically making its waters flow in the amphitheater of the Eagle's Nest. On the way back, we will stop on the terrace of another farm to taste typical sweets of this region accompanied by a coffee.
Leaving the Logar valley behind us, we will proceed towards the lower Savinja valley to get to know Žalec. Here there is the only museum of the cultivation of hops which are essential for the production of beer. This experience offers a walk through the history of hops in the Lower Savinja Valley, also known as the Valley of Green Gold. This name testifies to the importance of hops to the area. On the ground floor before we return, a tasting of two types of beer awaits us.
