Driver's age
The minimum driver age is 21 years.
For drivers aged between 21 and 24 years, a « Young driver » surcharge will apply. The cost varies depending on the vehicle category:
• Groups MB**, MC**, ED** (example: Fiat 500, Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10, Opel Corsa, Skoda Fabia or similar): €9.95 per day, up to a maximum of €109.45 per rental.
• Groups MDAE, EXAE, CD**, CFMR, IDMR, IFAR (example: Fiat 500 Electric, Renault ZOE, Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf, Cupra Born, Peugeot 2008, KGM Tivoli, Renault Arkana or similar): €11.95 per day, up to a maximum of €131.45 per rental.
• All other groups: €25.00 per day, with a minimum charge of €75.00 and no maximum limit per rental.
The age surcharge is not included in the rental price. It must be paid in the local currency at the rental desk.
Driving licence
All drivers must present a valid original driving licence, issued at least 12 months prior to the rental start date and valid beyond the rental period.
Drivers holding a licence for less than 4 years will be subject to a surcharge of €5.95 per day, up to a maximum of €72.00 per rental.
If the national driving licence is not written in Latin characters (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) or has been issued in a non-EU country without international agreements with the country where the rental takes place, a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) is required. The driver must present the IDP together with the original national driving licence.
IMPORTANT: It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that they have the necessary documentation to drive in countries other than their country of residence.
The driving licence must be original, in good condition, legible and valid.
Digital driving licences will NOT be accepted.
ID card/Passport
A valid ID card for all the citizens of the countries of the European Union, will be required.
For all those citizens of a country NOT belonging to the European Union, besides an ID card, a currently valid passport will be required as well.
The documents must be the original ones, not deteriorated, legible and valid.
Digital documents will NOT be accepted.
Inclusive Insurances
[TPL] Third-party liability insurance
This insurance covers the damages to third parties following an accident caused by the driver, excluding the rented car itself.
[CDW] Collision Damage Waiver
This is a reduction of the customer's liability that partially covers the damage caused to the rented vehicle. Instead of the total cost, the driver will be responsible only for the first fraction, called deductible.
The reduction of the customer's liability will be applied up to a maximum chargeable amount specified in the rental agreement.
This reduction does not include damage to: glass, roof, underbody, wheels, interior and damage caused by acts of vandalism.
[TP] Theft/Fire Protection
This is a reduction of the customer's liability in the event of total/partial theft or fire up to a maximum chargeable amount specified in the rental agreement.
In the event of theft of the rented vehicle, if the vehicle keys are not returned, the customer will be fully liable for reimbursement of the total value of the vehicle.
This reduction does not include the loss of personal assets.
Road Assistance
Road assistance is guaranteed 24/7.
In case road assistance is needed, the cost related to this will be charged to the customer himself.
Taxes Included in the Price
Value Added Tax (VAT).
Airport/Railway Station Taxes.
Fuel and charging policy
[Full-Full]
The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank.
At the time of vehicle pick-up, an additional deposit will be required as a fuel guarantee, amounting to approximately €150.00.
This amount will be released at the end of the rental provided the vehicle is returned with a full tank.
Otherwise, the customer will be charged for the missing fuel, calculated according to the rental company’s rates, plus a refuelling service fee.
[Electric Vehicles]
The vehicle will be supplied with a minimum battery level of 80% and must be returned with a battery level of at least 80%.
At the time of pick-up, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the battery level indicated in the contract matches the actual level of the vehicle. Any discrepancies must be reported to the « Goldcar » staff before collecting the vehicle.
If the vehicle is returned with a battery level below 80%, a fixed surcharge of €60.00 will apply, which will be charged or deducted from the deposit.
Mileage
[Alicante, Almeria, Barcelona, Girona, Jerez, Madrid, Malaga, Murcia, Reus, Seville, Valencia]
The rate includes limited mileage; the number of kilometres included varies depending on the total rental duration:
• From 1 to 3 days: 300 km per day.
• From 4 to 6 days: 250 km per day.
• From 7 to 14 days: 150 km per day.
• From 15 days onwards: 100 km per day.
If the included mileage is exceeded, an additional cost of €0.25 per extra km will apply.
[Other locations]
The rate includes unlimited mileage.
Territorial restrictions
The conditions relating to travel outside the national territory and ferry transport vary depending on the pick-up rental office.
All cross-border travel and vehicle ferry transport options are subject to payment of the « Cross Border » surcharge, amounting to €13.20 per day, up to a maximum of €171.60 per rental.
[Mainland Spain]
The rental vehicle may be driven in the following countries: Andorra, France (excluding islands), Italy (excluding islands), Portugal (excluding islands) and the territory of Gibraltar; it is also permitted to take the vehicle by ferry to the Balearic Islands (excluding Formentera and Ibiza) and to the Canary Islands.
[Balearic Islands]
It is permitted to take the vehicle by ferry between the other Balearic Islands (excluding Formentera and Ibiza, and vice versa) and to Mainland Spain.
[Canary Islands]
It is permitted to take the vehicle by ferry between the other Canary Islands and to Mainland Spain.
If you intend to cross a border or take the vehicle on a ferry, you must inform the « Goldcar » rental desk staff before collecting the vehicle.
Payment Methods
At the time of vehicle collection, it will be necessary to present a credit or debit card in the name of the main driver for the handling of the deposit and the rental payment.
[NOTICE] The main driver must present the credit or debit card in physical form; the digital version of the card will NOT be accepted.
[CREDIT cards]
Credit cards accepted at the car rental desk: Visa, Mastercard.
The credit card must display, in embossed characters on the front, the first and last name of the main driver, as well as the PAN code (16 digits of the card), and must be valid for a minimum period of 3 months from the end date of the rental; at the time of collection, entry of the PIN code will also be required.
[DEBIT cards]
NOMINAL Debit cards accepted at the rental desk: Visa, Mastercard.
The debit card must be issued by a banking institution and must be NOMINAL, i.e. it must display the first and last name of the main driver on the card, as well as the PAN code (16-digit card number). The card must also be valid for at least 3 months after the rental end date; the PIN code will be required at pick-up.
The following payment methods WILL NOT be accepted: American Express, Diners Club credit cards; Revolving cards; Maestro and V-Pay debit cards; Bancomat cards (ex. PagoBancomat); Prepaid/rechargeable and "Electron" cards of any type (ex. Viabuy, PayPal, Green Dot, Postepay); cards linked to a digital bank account (e.g. N26, Revolut); cards with the indication "Electronic use only"; virtual credit/debit cards; credit/debit cards in digital format; cards saved on mobile devices (smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, etc.); Visa Dankort, Discover, Cirrus, JCB, China UnionPay cards; NON-NOMINATIVE cards; cards NOT in the name of the main driver; cash and/or checks.
For security reasons, all the information on the credit or debit card must be clearly legible and not damaged, in order to allow the rental company to verify its authenticity
Always ensure that the credit or debit card used has sufficient funds available at the time of rental. The amount blocked corresponds to a fixed sum (specified below), but it may vary depending on the size of the vehicle, the driver's age, the rental duration, and the vehicle pick-up location.
If a valid credit or debit card is not physically presented, or if the card does not have sufficient funds, the counter agent may refuse to hand over the vehicle. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
Deposit Amount
At the time of vehicle pick-up, a deposit will be required as a guarantee.
This amount can only be managed through a credit card or a debit card in the name of the main driver.
[NOTICE]
• The conditions regarding accepted credit or debit cards, the required features, and any restrictions are specified in the « Payment methods » section.
In addition to the fuel deposit, indicated in the « Fuel and charging policy » section, an additional amount of €950 will be blocked, as well as any extras or services purchased and not prepaid online.
This amount will be released at the end of the rental provided that all rental conditions have been met.
The applicable excess, in case of damage or theft of the vehicle, will be up to €2300.00 for damage and up to €2300.00 for theft.
Local Taxes
The damages to the car will be charged by the car rental company at the moment of the drop off, as well as a local tax, which has to be added to the amount of the deductible withheld.
In case of tickets/fines, the driver will have to pay a local tax, which has to be added to the amount of the ticket/fine.
Pick-up
The vehicle must be picked up at the time agreed during the booking process; after that time, the car rental company will not guarantee the availability of the car at the car rental station and the reservation will be considered cancelled without notice.
Please always inform the car rental station in case of delay.
Drop-off
The rented vehicle must be returned by the date and time specified in the rental agreement. A grace period of 59 minutes beyond the agreed return time is allowed. If this grace period is exceeded, an additional charge will be applied by the car rental company.
No refund is provided in case the car is returned before the date agreed in the car rental contract.
In case the drop-off is made in a different car rental station from the pick up, a "One way" extra charge will be applied. This operation must be authorised beforehand by « Goldcar ».
The vehicles are delivered externally and internally clean and they must be returned in the same condition. Otherwise the costs related to the washing of the vehicle will be proportionally charged.
For rentals with vehicle return outside opening hours, this service is available exclusively at rental locations equipped with a key-box. The customer must inquire at the time of pickup about the service's usage conditions. The rental agreement will be closed by a company representative upon the reopening of the branch, and the customer remains responsible for the vehicle until it has been officially taken over by the representative.
Vehicle Group
The vehicle in the image and the models on the list are the most commonly used by our car rental partners.
We cannot guarantee that brand and model of the vehicle will be the same of the vehicle viewed on our website.
Voucher
At the arrival at the car rental office, you will be asked to show the voucher.
Attention: TinoRent takes no responsability for any surcharges in the case, at the moment of the pick up, the voucher is not shown to the car rental agent. In these cases no refund of the advance payment will be provided.
Additional Accessories and Extras
Additional accessories and extras must be requested at the time of booking or communicated to the rental centre. These are not included in the rental price and must be paid for at the time of collection.
The prices for these accessories are managed directly by the rental company, which reserves the right to modify them without prior notice.
Additional accessories and any special equipment are subject to availability, which can only be guaranteed by the rental centre at the time of collection.
Out-of-Hours Surcharge
The vehicle pick-up service outside of office opening hours is only available upon prior approval by the rental company.
If the service is confirmed, an additional surcharge of €40.00 will apply.
In case of delay, please contact the « Goldcar » rental office promptly so that staff can, if possible, make arrangements to wait for your arrival.
Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation of the booking if it occurs before 11:00 on 16/09/2026. Free cancellation includes the refund of the amount paid during online booking, on the same card used.
An administrative penalty of 23.60 EUR will be applied where the cancellation is carried out after 11:00 of 16/09/2026 and in any case within 11:00 of the 18/09/2026. Any surplus will be refunded directly into the card used during the online booking process.
A penalty called 'Lost Rental Charge' equal to the entire rental cost (39.34 EUR) will be applied where cancellation is made after 11:00 of 18/09/2026 or, in any case, where the vehicle is not picked up at the agreed date and time or where the vehicle was not delivered because the rental conditions stated in the terms and conditions are not met.
